The Child Development Lab (CDL) Preschool Full-Day Program:
- Enrolls 20 children, ages three to five years
- Open 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Open 12 months a year
- Closed approximately 20 days plus holidays, spring break, winter recess and professional development week in August.

Enrollment is open to children in the community age 2½ (if potty trained) to 5 years with the goal to have a well-rounded, diverse group of children representative of the population of Columbia. The CDL reserves the right to enroll children based on sex, age, race, ethnicity, special needs and low-income for the purposes of high-quality teacher training. The program is designed as a full-day, 10 hour child care program and serves the purposes of full-time employed parents best.
Emerging Language and Literacy Curriculum: This curriculum provides developmentally appropriate language and literacy practices for preschool children, stressing the importance of communication. Learning is facilitated through direct teaching, small-group, and learning center time.

This schedule is flexible. If the weather is not safe we shorten outside time.
