HDFS Award Winners

Dr. Marilyn Coleman is pictured accepting the award from Dr. Pam Benoit for the 2006-2007 Most Outstanding Departmental Contributions for Graduate Education.

HDFS was awarded for its department contributions, including the mentoring of graduate students, the quality of its graduate program and faculty, the successful retention and recruitment of students, and the successful careers of HDFS graduate alumni. This is the 2nd time the HDFS Graduate Program has won the award, winning for the first time in 2002.

Tyler Jamison, Doctoral Candidate, is pictured accepting her award from Dr. Pamela Benoit for the 2008 Donald K. Anderson Teaching Assistant Award.

Tyler was awarded for her successful performance in the classroom, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and mentoring of peers and undergraduates and was 1 of only 2 TAs, among well over 1,000 on campus, to win this award.

 

The HDFS MUCFR organization received the Chancellor’s Award for Most Outstanding Small Organization for 2008-2009.
