"My research interests include various forms and sectors of the family life. I am currently working with Dr. Jacquelyn Benson researching different aspects of the lives of older adults, including intimate relationships. In addition, I am currently working with Dr. Chelsea Garneau-Rosner and her team on facilitating a relationship education program called Show Me Healthy Relationships."

"After completing my Masters in Child Life, I hope to start a career working with children and families in the healthcare setting, perhaps in the Emergency Department or wherever I am needed. Another focus is to work with those with chronic disabilities or illnesses. I eventually want to have a leadership role and/or go back to teach Child Life classes."

Emily received a BA in Family and Consumer Science Education in 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is currently working towards a master's in Lifespan Development.

"I am interested in how the unique development characteristics of adolescents could be maximized to benefit them and society. I am interested in learning about programs that could do this or potentially developing one of my own with guidance from Dr. Bordere. In addition to this, I am interested in learning more about relationship and marriage education programs. Specifically, I would like to become involved in the Show Me Healthy Families and Relationships project that David Schramm developed last year. After completing my master's at the University of Missouri, I would like to be an Extension Educator where I take the research done at the university level and apply it to help the general public."
