Bari received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri in 2013, and is currently working toward a MA in Child Life.

"After completing my MA in Child Life, I plan to work as a Certified Child Life Specialist at a hospital, with a focus on long-term care in oncology. I hope to also work with international disaster relief efforts and explore how Child Life services can be applied around the world."

"My research interests are in investigating the impacts of poverty on child development and parent/child relationships, as well as conducting research utilizing culturally competent frameworks. I have particular interest in generating research that can affect policy change and community level family support interventions."

Emily received a BA in Family and Consumer Science Education in 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is currently working towards a master's in Lifespan Development.

"I am interested in how the unique development characteristics of adolescents could be maximized to benefit them and society. I am interested in learning about programs that could do this or potentially developing one of my own with guidance from Dr. Bordere. In addition to this, I am interested in learning more about relationship and marriage education programs. Specifically, I would like to become involved in the Show Me Healthy Families and Relationships project that David Schramm developed last year. After completing my master's at the University of Missouri, I would like to be an Extension Educator where I take the research done at the university level and apply it to help the general public."
